Las Vegas Economy Booming
I don’t know what else people are doing, as the Economy Recovers, but a lot of them are Gambling and they are traveling to Las Vegas to do it.
Gaming in Nevada and Las Vegas in particular is booming. Casinos are recording record revenues, month after month, when compared to Pre-Pandemic Revenue Reports. They are doing this with only 90% of Pre-Pandemic Employees.
Harry Reid International Airport had its busiest month in history in June with 4.68 million passengers flying in and out of Las Vegas.
The total number, 22.9 percent more than in June 2021, surpassed the previous record of 4.61 million passengers set in October 2019, an airport spokesman reported.
Domestic arrivals and departures were up 18.2 percent from June 2021, while international travel increased by 357 percent over last year
For the first half of 2022, Reid International reported 24.28 million passengers, putting it on track to easily eclipse last year’s 39.71 million passengers, but land short of the record 51.54 million recorded in 2019.
In June, 89,258 seats a day were scheduled for arrivals and departures at the airport compared with 72,623 seats in June 2021, a 22.9 percent increase. The July seat forecast is for 91,348 a day.
Air Traffic is forecast to get even busier in the months ahead.
