A’ja Wilson (34 points, 11 rebounds) and Chelsea Gray (29 points, 12 assists) were the steady performers, while Riquna Williams and Jackie Young chipped in with clutch shots down the stretch, as the Las Vegas Aces moved to within a game of the WNBA Finals with a 110-98 overtime victory over the Seattle Storm. Las Vegas leads the best-three-out-of-five Semifinals series, 2 games to 1. This Game, Game 3, was one of the Best Basketball Games I have ever seen. The coolness of the Aces under pressure was unbelievable. Seattle went up 4 with 11.3 seconds to go on a pair of Jewell Loyd free throws. At that point the only people who thought the Aces had a chance were the Aces themselves.
Here is a Game 3 Re-Cap. FIRST QUARTER (Las Vegas 28, Seattle 20) SECOND QUARTER (Las Vegas 48, Seattle 40) THIRD QUARTER(Las Vegas 68, Seattle 64) FOURTH QUARTER (Las Vegas 92, Seattle 92) Seattle sliced the Aces advantage to one on three occasions, before tying the score at 78 with 4:15 on the clock, and taking the lead, 81-78 with 2:51. Sue Bird seemed to clinch the game for the Storm with a three-pointer with 1.9 seconds to go. But Jackie Young sprung free on the Aces’ next possession, and her layup sent the game to overtime. 5 MINUTE OVERTIME (Las Vegas 110, Seattle 98)
The Aces outscored the Storm 18-6 in the overtime period, making 7 of 10 shots from the field, and 3 of 5 from three-point range.
